Workshop Theme

The workshop will focus on the latest developments and applications in urban remote sensing. Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Remote sensing change detection of urbanization
  • Remote sensing dynamic monitoring of urban expansion
  • Deep learning and AI techniques for urban feature extraction
  • Spatial analysis and modeling for smart cities
  • Geospatial techniques for urban disaster management and response
  • Environmental monitoring and sustainability in urban areas
  • Urban land use and land cover mapping
  • Remote sensing retrieval of urban ecological environment

Prof. Zhenfeng Shao, professor at the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing, Wuhan University, China. He services as a co-chair at WG II/8 of ISPRS. His research interests include urban remote sensing and smart city. He is now an associate editor of Photogrammetric Engineering & Re-mote Sensing commonly, Board member of Geo-spatial information Science.

Dr. M. G. Lenzano, Chair of Working Group 8 Environmental & Infrastructure Moni-toring, Technical Commission II of ISPRS. She runs the Andean Geomatics Laboratory (CONICET), Argentina. She serves as an associate researcher at CONICET, Argentina. Her research interests include geomatics engineering, extraction change detection, re-mote sensing, and environmental monitoring.
